The ACT is coming, and it’s a critical time for many Juniors preparing to take it. Before giving information on the time and place of the test, it is important to know what it is, and why you should take it.
The ACT is a standardized test designed for High School students. It can mean the difference from getting into the college of your dreams, or even saving thousands on tuition.
Here at Athens Drive High School, Juniors will take the ACT on March 16th. Students have been told their testing location during Drive Time, however if you have any questions most of your teachers can help. Any questions about the ACT schedule can be answered either on the Athens website or by asking a teacher.
The ACT is 3 hours long, and will include breaks after you are done with each subject. It covers exactly four topics, including science, math, reading, and English. Each of these topics will be covered individually, and are based on material you have learned throughout your school career.
In short, the ACT may seem intimidating, but the reward for attempting it is completely worth it. I hope this article covered most of the needed information you may have, but if there are any questions, please feel free to look them up online at the Athens Drive homepage, or on act.org.
