The environmental science club is led by April Jones with Clair Siegel acting as the president of the club. This is a club in Athens to teach students about different environmental topics. At each meeting the group presents brief information about topics of their choice. Then a fun activity is presented for the club members that relates to the topic they’re learning about.
“Environmental science club has also previously participated in trash clean-ups at Athens,” said Siegel, student at Athens Drive High School.
The environmental science club can help students take up more environmentally friendly lifestyles in the future and help advocate for increased environmental protections. The next team meeting is October 18, at 2:30 pm in room 1714.
