Missing Plane

Early in the morning March 8, 2014 a plane from the Malaysian airlines went missing. People are still searching for parts after parts have been found, but searchers are not sure if these are actual pieces of the plane. The search has been very long, and there was, in my opinion, too much information given to the news to bring worry to families and people following the search. This search was blown out of proportion and had people very worried then very hopeful when parts might have been found, emotions were everywhere.

During the weeks the plane was missing there was plenty of information going to the news, almost too much. Every time the news was turned on there was more information about the plane. Having information so quickly is not always a good thing because some of the information is not completely correct and can give false hope.

The airline was flight 370 from Malaysia to Beijing. In the middle of the flight the radar connection to the airport cut off and the plane was lost in the Indian ocean. There were 239 people on the plane, mostly Malaysian passengers, but there were a few people from other countries, like America and Australia. There was an American man on the plane going to meet his fiance in Beijing to start their life together. This a very tragic story that ended in the worst way possible for the families of the passengers.

In Perth, Australia, workers are searching in a part of the ocean that is not often traveled through where they found a few pieces of what appears to be a plane. The search has been difficult because the waters were rough from where all the currents meet. The Australian president knew about these pieces picked up by the satellite but was hesitant to tell the Malaysian government because it could be anything and they have not been able to reach where the pieces are because the weather is awful.

The parts in the ocean near Australia were confirmed parts of the plane. After the two weeks of stress and worry the families were devastated to find out that their hope in having their family back was not a possibility. The plane was not even close to the possible landing site, and the details on why the plane was where it was will not be released until after the find more parts of the plane, which could be a long time. Investigators are still searching for other parts to try to find out exactly why the plane crashed and how the people died.
