The Athens Drive seniors gathered April 10 in the gym for the senior breakfast prepared especially for them. The gym was filled with parents ready to serve food, and students filing in, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone could enjoy their morning.

“I enjoyed it! The food was really good, and I liked how they had a lot of options. It was well-organized by the PTSA,” said Waleed Kotwal, a senior at Athens.

The breakfast featured a variety of foods, from yogurt to Bojangles breakfast sandwiches, and much more. The environment was fun and laid-back as everyone enjoyed each other’s company and settled in to start their day.

“They had a lot of giveaways, and the parents donated a lot for that. It was one of the things that made the breakfast really fun,” said Adam Torchi, a senior at Athens.

As part of the event, some gifts were sponsored for the senior class. All names were entered into a raffle, giving students the chance to win prizes ranging from $100 gift cards to a Roku TV! Throughout the morning, names were called out and students gathered around to see if they were the lucky winners.

“I appreciate the effort to make it special for seniors. The parents put in a lot of work, and I’m thankful for that,” said Raquel Moreno Umanzor, a senior at Athens.

This event was made possible thanks to the parents who provided the food and donated the raffle prizes. Their involvement made the morning even more memorable, showing their support for the senior class. Many students expressed gratitude for the parents’ effort, noticing that their contributions helped create a memorable experience. The parents’ dedication reflected their pride in the senior class and their desire to give back to the school community.

“The whole event was most exciting because of my friends. From the moment we met up until we went back to our classes, it was nonstop fun. Giggling, laughing, just having a good time together,” said Umanzor.

The event also brought friends together for a relaxed morning of fun. Being able to talk, laugh and share the moment with friends made it a special experience that students will likely remember long after graduation.

“Winning the gift cards was fun because everyone was cheering for each other, regardless of whether they knew the person or not; It was really exciting,” said Kotwal.
