SATIRE: Lunch time at Athens Drive

The lunch bell rings. You take a walk to lunch, walking and talking with your friends on the way. You get to the hallway outside of the Athens Drive cafeteria, you stop in your tracks when the lunch line is wrapped around the building. How delightful, a 14-minute long line!
“Today the lunch line was out of the door! People had tents set up and were camping and sleeping in them,” said Charlie Horse.
After spending your time in the lunch line, you head to your table of choice and sit down. The school cafeteria is the calmest place in the school. It is quieter than the library. Nobody ever fights in the cafeteria because it would disrupt the students. Everyone sits down and eats their lunch peacefully.
“The school cafeteria is so quiet. We have a quiet war every day to see which side of the cafeteria can be the quietest,” said Yamma Baldman.
Some students even think outside of the box and doordash their food (which is prohibited on school grounds). That is when your food gets confiscated and eaten in front of your face, then you are forced to watch your food be eaten, the horror, oh my!
“Yesterday I cried for three hours as I watched my food get eaten by Mr. Beep-Beep. He drinked my drink and ate my nuggets,” said Terri Bowl.
Those with off-campus passes think back fondly to the days when they went through the lunch line or ordering door dash and not knowing the rules, and a singular tear ran down their faces. They get stuck in parking lot traffic on their way to go to the restaurant of their choice. By the time they order and get their food, it is already time to go to their next class.
“I love the parking lot traffic at Athens! It gives me time to do my assignments,” said Ido Nowork.
