Izzy Martin is an Outside hitter to Carolina Shockwave, a year round national level volleyball club located in Eastern North Carolina. 

Carolina Shockwave, like many other club volleyball teams, travel extremely often and go rather far distances, and because of this, it’s pretty easy to feel a little behind.

“ For math every week I have to do DeltaMath, and it’s about 20 questions, so I’ll be doing it in the car and my dad would help me with it while we would drive to a tournament”

Izzy Catalano is a utility player for the Carolina Dirt Dawgs softball team, which means she plays almost every position, a rather difficult thing to do. 

“ There was a massive overlap with school volleyball, there always is with school sports, my coaches are super lenient about it. They’re like ‘I mean as long as you're active it’s cool,’ I missed like probably two practices a week with volleyball, but it’s really nice that they’re super lenient about it. Just as long as I'm super active, and I still practice at home.”

Ryan Bridges is a goalie for his NCFC soccer team. They practice almost every day and only have a few week break in between school and club seasons. 

“That’s pretty much it, I mean I don’t ever really feel burnt out… Sometimes getting my homework done when there’s practice early, but not really,”
