Enzo Moscatello, senior, is often involved in many production products. You may have seen them on their YouTube, Podcast, or in an art class. Moscatello has enjoyed film production and software editing for years and now hopes to build their career off of it.
“I grew up watching a lot of YouTube videos and had always wanted to make them myself. When I was in 6th grade, I started a YouTube channel as a random side hobby, but it quickly became a passion project! YouTube was my first experience with storytelling using a camera. From there, I fell in love with editing and knew I wanted to go the film route,” said Moscatello.
Moscatello has taken many classes that have helped them form their passion and love for film production. One of those classes is film and TV production, which has helped Moscatello learn about filmmaking, editing, software, and broadcasting.
“Ms. Lair’s Film and TV production classes are great! She helps everyone learn about the process of recording and editing. You also have the opportunity to learn more about news broadcasting and everything that goes into that industry,” said Moscatello.
Moscatello has had many teachers who have been very supportive and impactful in their life. One of those teachers is Lori Lair, film and production teacher.
“Enzo is an amazing student, very creative, really good at using the editing software, really good at just coming up with cool things to do, and really thinks outside the box,” said Lori Lair, Film and TV Production teacher at Athens Drive.
Moscatello has been very passionate and hard-working since day one. When they first started, they were very eager and already fairly educated in the area. Moscatello has always been very helpful and creative towards their peers, including environments like classrooms, ATV, theater, and more.
“Enzo came in knowing how to do a lot of stuff already, like using the editing software, but didn’t act like they knew everything. They were still very open to learning new techniques about shooting things, doing different things for storytelling, and all that stuff,” said Lair. Moscatello is very experienced and talented while still being excited and open to new techniques or ideas.
Moscatello hopes to enter the film industry. They want to learn more about music and screen production before starting their own film productions.
“I hope to work on various projects as an editor or sound designer. Eventually, I want to learn more about screenwriting and music production within film so I can start creating projects of my own,” said Moscatello.
