The Athens drive women’s tennis team played a tough game against Leesville at their home field Monday, October 4. They started their game strong and ready to play. As the game progressed, it started to rain, but they played through until it started thundering. The game was forced to end. A player on the team, Sarah Kate Cheshire, sophomore said, “I feel like we would have been better if it didn’t get rained out, but overall I think we did pretty good.” The game was canceled midway through and Leesville came out victorious with a score of 6-0.
