iPhones 5S, 5C bring new features

Apple released a new iPhone, there are two new designs that Apple has released, the iPhone 5S and 5C.   There are many new features on the new iPhones such as a finger scanner, iOS 7, new HD camera, iTunes radio and control center.  However there are many more features that are new to the iPhone.

This iPhone has been very hyped before the release; Apple has given the iPhone 5S a new sleek design and is available in white, black and the new gold color.  Also the 5C will be supporting colors and can come in white, yellow, red, blue and green

The “Touch ID” that Apple is calling it, will allow you to unlock your phone just by touching the home button.  There is a scanner under the home button that reads your fingerprint.  Also “Touch ID” will allow you to buy Apps, without entering a password.

“I’ve had an iPhone for a while now and they have gotten better and better every time a new one comes out,” said Harrison Engle, sophomore.

The new iPhones have a new eight megapixel camera, which increases the picture quality.   Also on the FaceTime camera they made it a HD quality so you can see better..

“The 5S looks better than the 5 and I really do like the 5,” Engle said.

The battery life of the new iPhone is much better than the past iPhones.  You can now get up to 10 hours of 3G talk time, eight hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of watching video, 40 hours of listening to music, and 250 hours of having your phone on standby.

The new phone also has a steel reinforcement built in that will protect your phone from falls.

Apple added many more LTE bands around the country for better signal. Adding more LTE bands, these additions have  made the iPhone have more LTE bands than any other smartphone that is on the market.

The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C came out on September 20th, in 11 countries, the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
