Shocking occurrences at the VMAs

This year, MTV’s Video Music Awards shocked viewers. Throughout the entire Awards, four celebrities stood in the spotlight at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center.

Just as the crowd thought it was over, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke did a rendition of Thicke’s song, “Blurred Lines.” The crowd celebrated over the vulgarity and surprise duet between the two stars.

After other performances, Justin Timberlake took the stage with a mash-up of all his songs. Justin Timberlake made the Barclay Center squeal when he had his magical reunion with ‘N Sync members Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass. The boy band surprised the crowd when they sang their hit song, “Bye, Bye, Bye”. With that song, Justin Timberlake had the longest performance of the night. Timberlake ended his night by receiving fourteen Video Music Awards and the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award for his many lifetime achievements.

The night ended off with Katy Perry’s first live performance of her song, “Roar”. She knocked the crowd out with her fantastic performance with the Brooklyn Bridge towering behind her.
