Rodney Gibbs, a senior at Athens Drive, values kindness above all. He believes being kind to others is truly rewarding.
Rodney Gibbs is an exemplary student who has been found to be wise, kind-hearted, and filled with the positive energy. He provides for his teachers and friends. Teachers and fellow students alike describe him as fun, compassionate, and hard-working, and an inspiring role model.
Gibbs is a born leader, who combines hard work with an easygoing attitude. One episode in his life was when one of his classmates sought help catching up with lessons. Placing himself at the forefront, Gibbs guided his peer through the difficult coursework with loads of patience and wisdom. His teacher remarks that Gibbs has “IT”, a special ingredient that makes anyone extraordinary.
Gibbs’s encouragement shines, often being the one to first volunteer for something so others see the right thing to do. One can hardly not be caught by his smile, and his words, as his teacher describes him, “He makes me smile every day.”
Gibbs’s interests show his creative flair; he enjoys art, largely painting and drawing, but he is also into reading, shopping, and ‘chilling’ with friends. His favorite class is Food and Nutrition, he loves lasagna because of its cheesy goodness. Gibbs also gets to do activities that help him connect further with those around him, showing his determination to make good friendships.
Gibbs is more than a great student; he’s a role model and an inspiration. His kindness, creativity, and determination leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets, proving he truly has “IT”. Gibb’s story highlights the impact one person can have on a community, making him a shining example of leadership and compassion.
As Gibbs himself puts it, “You never know what someone’s been through, so always be kind. The smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone’s day!”
