Mansion to jail cell

The so called “heartthrob,” Justin Bieber, has been turning down a few illegal roads lately. January was a horrible month for Bieber, for reasons ranging from getting his house raided by the California police to getting arrested with multiple charges by the Miami police.

The famous teen singer known for his hit starting at the age of 14, will now be known as the newest “bad boy.” A series of events have led up to Bieber’s arrest, including reports of Bieber urinating in mop buckets and snow, yelling and insulting fans and hitting his drivers and bodyguards, leading up to a big scandal  January 14.

“I feel like all the attention Bieber is getting gives  his younger audience the impression that those things are OK to do. I liked some of his newer music but now I have no respect for him and don’t even want to listen to his songs,” said Joyce Chou, senior.

Police raided Bieber’s house after his neighbor called the cops on him for egging his house. Although it was not his, the Los Angeles Police Department found cocaine in the Southern California mansion, raising flags on Bieber’s recent bad behavior. Bieber was not charged for the cocaine the police found in his home, however, the singer may be faced with felony charges for egging his neighbors’ house.

Exactly nine days later Bieber was arrested for a Driving Under the Influence (DUI), driving with an expired license and resisting arrest. Contrary to what his smiling mugshot would imply, Jan. 23 was yet another horrible day for Bieber when he was caught going 136 mph through Miami Beach, Florida. It later became public that Bieber had traces of marijuana and prescription drug, Xanax, at the time of his arrest.

All of the recent news on Bieber has gotten other celebrities talking. US magazine shared tweets about Biebers situation from well known celebrities, some expressing concern while others made jokes about it.

Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, “It’s hard to hear all this news about @JustinBieber. I hope he makes his way to adulthood without him or anyone else getting hurt.”

The Netflix show “Orange is the New Black” tweeted, “we’ve got an open bunk for you, @justinbieber.”

Star Jared Padaleki tweeted, “Just saw the mugshot of @justinbieber. I gotta admit, she’s kinda hot without all of her usual makeup on . . . “

Trial for 19-year-old Bieber will begin March 3 in Miami. The singer’s attorney has already filed a plea of not guilty on all three charges.
